New information tonight about the nascent Shops at Russell Branch, a shopping center planned for the empty space in front of the Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Leesburg.
That’s at the intersection of Battlefield Parkway and Russell Branch Parkway, just south of Route 7.
It was last September that we reported an ALDI grocery store was planning to open there, as well as a Virginia Auto & Tire car repair shop. Now, we’ve got a bead on two more tenants for the center: an Exxon gas station and a Brite Wash car wash.
New artists renderings show the center from various viewpoints. There are still several additional buildings planned that could hold retail shops and restaurants.
No official word on when construction will begin, but the center’s owners hope to have it ready by Fall 2020.
