The Greater Greenwood Community Band will present its first outdoor concert of the 2019 season at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Greenwood Amphitheater at Surina Square Park.
"Soloistic May-Hem" will be a concert built around performances by a trio of soloists. Glen Johnson on trumpet, Patty Hoover playing clarinet and Scott Campbell on alto saxophone will all serve as guest musicians during the band’s toe-tapping set.
The concert is free and open to the public. People are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to spread out in the open-air area in front of the stage, enjoying a spring afternoon with some of the area’s best musicians.
