Austin Food + Wine 2019

Published by Monique on

This was my third year in a row to attend AFW and it was one of the best times yet! I was lucky to partner with 14 Hands Winery to help spread the word about their delicious wines. They served a refreshing frosé, a smooth red blend, bubbles and rosé. Their wines also just launched in cans which was extra convenient!

And onto the foods! This year’s selection was incredible. The moo larb from Sway was one of my absolute faves!

Foreign & Domestic’s corned beef and pickled mustard seeds.

Grizzelda’s ceviche.

Lonesome Dove’s lamb shank with chimichurri.

Dried apricot, proscuitto, and pistachio mascarpone from HEB.

Porchetta sandwich from Eberly – I ate the insides and had to throw that beautiful golden roll away.

I didn’t get to actually eat this but Aaron Sanchez made a delicious looking torta with red chile salsa.

Washington State Wines tasting session was absolutely wonderful!!

Forthright’s brisket hash with chimichurri.

Gluten free red velvet cupcakes from Sprinkles.

LeRoy and Lewis’s brisket.

Beautiful paella (that I didn’t get to try sadly).

Stiles Switch brisket and coleslaw.

Everything was ab-so-lute-ly incredible and I’m so glad I got to go on behalf of 14 Hands Winery! Until next year!
