Super League is six rounds in and there's been plenty more shock results and surprises to keep us entertained.

Here, we look at the winners and losers from the last seven days.

WINNERS

St Helens

Very much the team to beat at the moment - who is going to stop the Saints? Justin Holbrook's men overcame a potential banana skin in emphatic style in the end by beating Huddersfield Giants 40-12 on Thursday evening and preserved their 100 per cent winning record.

Warrington and Castleford are close behind, with Saints travelling to the latter this Friday, but it's increasingly difficult to see who can overcome the Red V at this moment in time.

Catalans Dragons

What an effort from the Dragons at the weekend in their win over Hull KR. Down on troops with Michael McIlorum and more already missing, as well as having the likes of Greg Bird, Sam Moa and Benjamin Jullien withdrawn throughout the match through injury, a tight victory was secured.

It was a first away success of the season for Steve McNamara's men who went level with the Robins in mid-table. It was also the perfect response to an embarrassing home nilling at the hands of Salford a week earlier and the hope for Catalans is they can now kick on, with Leeds Rhinos next up.

London Broncos

The Broncos keep on bucking the trend! Yet another surprise success, this time at Leeds Rhinos, puts Danny Ward's men away from early trouble and they deserved their third win of the campaign.

Coming from behind at Headingley to secure an 18-16 win, London celebrated long into the night and it added to their giant-killing of Wigan Warriors just a few weeks previous. They host Hull FC this Sunday - can the Black and Whites overcome the confident outfit?

LOSERS

Leeds Rhinos

Are Leeds at their lowest ebb for some time? The Rhinos suffered a sixth defeat out of seven games so far this season and the humiliation of a home loss to London Broncos was felt last time out.

David Furner has a job on his hands to get the confidence back into this Leeds outfit. They head to the South of France this weekend in need of a morale-boosting victory. To go one win from eight? That would be unprecedented from the West Yorkshire club.

Wigan Warriors

Another club struggling at the wrong end of the table is Wigan Warriors, who suffered another loss to Warrington Wolves last time out.

Adrian Lam's men battled but didn't have enough to win at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. It's now five defeats in six for the reigning champions and they travel to Salford Red Devils this weekend with the requirement of victory increasing by the week.

Shaun Edwards

And staying with Wigan - perhaps putting Edwards' name onto the 'losing' reel is harsh but the entire situation needs addressing.

The 'incoming' Warriors coach for 2020 stated over the weekend he is 'unemployed' after the Six Nations, and has not signed a contract at the DW Stadium.

UNVEILED: Left to right Wigan interim coach from 2019, Adrian Lam, owner Ian Lenagan, and Warriors boss from 2020, Shaun Edwards.

Wigan have issued a statement this morning saying “Following the conclusion of the Six Nations and Shaun’s comments, we have been seeking dialogue with Shaun directly since Sunday to clarify to Wigan his intentions."

It's a saga which needs shutting down as any doubts over Edwards' position only serves to heighten the current nervousness and tension at the Warriors.
