Comic Relief viewers were left in stitches on Friday evening as Johnny Vegas took to the stage at a Magic Mike performance to perform his best striptease.

The comedian, 48, gatecrashed the all-male dance troupe for Red Nose Day and proudly unveiled his 'six pack' at the Hippodrome Casino in London.

The TV star donned a fake, muscular torso for the show along with a pair of blue jeans to match the other dancers.

Johnny looked right at home among the Magic Mike crew as he danced with abandon, performing some of the group's intricate moves.

The comedian has lost weight in recent months, displaying his new look on social media.

Johnny, real name Michael Pennington, discussed his weight, health and fitness in his 2011 autobiography, Becoming Johnny Vegas.

'Johnny had a theory that if you counted how much you were drinking, you weren’t enjoying it. He never kept track but he could go on drinking for hours.

'I was ill with nerves before going on. As Michael Pennington I’d build up during the day, hoping to coax Johnny out of his box.'  

Johnny, who has lost four stone, previously told how some of his weight loss was a result of his father Laurence Pennington passing away last year after a battle with cancer.

He said on This Morning: 'It’s the thing with grief and you can tell yourself it’s your responsibility to carry on'
