 While it's a non-league game, it still means something to these old rivals, especially if you're North Salinas, who has dropped 12 of its last 13 games to the Spirits.
 The defending Pacific Division champion Vikings, who have jumped out to a 2-0 Mission Division start, have rattled off four straight wins since falling in their season opener.
 Alyssa Allen continues to send balls into orbit, having ripped three home runs this year for North Salinas, while Soifa Gombos has been dynamic in the circle and at the plate.
 The Spirits have found themselves an ace in the circle in freshman Sam Rocha, who has tossed three straight shutouts to open the season.
 Six different hitters have had multiple hit games for Notre Dame, including sophomore Angelita Fuentes, who had three hits and a pair of RBI earlier this year.
 Six freshmen and four sophomores make up the Spirits lineup.
