Comic Relief viewers were joyful as Lily James and Alicia Vikander married in heart-rendering scenes for Four Weddings And A Funeral's spoof on Friday night.

While fans were left giggling with the Mamma Mia! sequel parody, One Red Nose Day And A Wedding left fans emotional when the Four Weddings And A Funeral cast reunited for the 12-minute sketch 25 years after the movie.

Social media was awash with fans praising the 'brilliant' clip where Hugh Grant snapped hilariously straight back into the character of hapless Charles as he walked his on-screen daughter, played by Lily, up the aisle.

As Jennifer took on the role of Meryl's character Donna, she joked she wasn't in the second movie at all despite being the first film's protagonist. 'Am I in this at all?' She said as Meryl. 

Other highlights included hilariously shaming Pierce Brosnan's questionable singing in the movie as the show said his character was the 'one who couldn't sing'.

The spoof also made fun of the fact the story is set in Greece but the filmmakers decided to film in Croatia instead.

Speculation is rife that Julia Montague will return from the dead in Bodyguard season two after the prime minister was 'killed off' in the fourth episode of season one.

The spoof didn't disappoint as Keely clambered into the back of the taxi and hilariously demanded to know whether her character Julia would be in the second series.  

She then asked Richard's character: 'Do you know if I'm in series two?', to which he bluntly replied with: 'You are dead...', with Keeley cryptically adding: 'Am I?'

Elsewhere in the show, Lenny Henry took a special moment to honor the memory of Louis Tomlinson's late sister Félicité after the former One Direction star pulled out of the Comic Relief appearance following her passing.

In a touching speech, the television personality expressed his sadness as he sent his love to Louis and his family following the news of their 'sudden tragic loss'.

Addressing Louis' absence, Lenny said: 'Sudden tragic loss of his sister. The love and best wishes go out to Louis and his family at this terrible time.'

Singer Louis pulled out of his headline performance of his new single Two Of Us on Friday night's Comic Relief following his younger sister Félicité's death.

The One Direction star, 27, was due to perform his new single which was written about his late mother Johannah, who died from cancer in 2016.

Félicité, 18, was found dead at her Earls Court, West London home from a suspected heart attack on Wednesday lunchtime, leaving Louis 'devastated'.

Four Weddings, Mamma Mia and Bodyguard spoofs were the highlight of the glittering ceremony which was hosted in the name of Red Nose Day. 

Jodie Whittaker made an appearance as her on-screen alter ego, the first female Time Lord, and peeped out of the blue tardis briefly to remind the audience how they could donate to the worthy cause.
