Gurira, who portrays T'Challa's bodyguard Okoye, is shown on the poster.

On Wednesday morning, Marvel released both a new trailer and the poster for Avengers: Endgame. The poster, however, has upset fans because it doesn't include Danai Gurira's name on it.

The poster features everyone's name except for Gurira, who appears on the poster alongside co-stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Brie Larson, and others.

Following the poster's release, fans spoke out against Gurira's absence from it on social media.

"Black Panther star Danai Gurira is the only actor pictured whose name isn’t billed at the top. Her image is larger than some actors who do get that billing. The only one from the franchise’s best and most profitable movie, and yet? Marvel Studios, this isn’t difficult. Fix this," Rolling Stone writer Jamil Smith tweeted.

Since the backlash, Marvel has created an updated poster that includes Gurira's name.

The Avengers:Endgame trailer also dropped. The two-minute long trailer begins by looking back on the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first movies centered around Iron Man and Captain America, before transitioning to the present. The Avengers are coming together following Thanos’ elimination of half of all life throughout the universe in Avengers: Infinity War.

The trailer ends with Thor meeting Captain Marvel as he summons his axe in front of her. Seeming to be unimpressed nor intimidated by the king of Asgard, Thor says of Marvel, “I like this one.”
