The UN has no credibilty here- don’t you know, the Jewish people have no historical association with the Holy Land. While Hamas sends bombs into Isaeli towns, any Israeli response is placed under a microscope where they find a “war crime” on the part of the army that makes enormous attempts to avoid killing civilians. Sadly, they are not- they cannot be- always successful, and Hamas bears responsibility for that (why else would they put their weapon depots under schools?).

But your argument is not about current tactics- it’s about the legitimacy of Jewish claims to the area. Sorry, when your every attempt is to murder Jews and destroy the state of Israel, I am not sympathetic to your complaints about “stealing” land. The UNSC resolution was about “settlements”. I understand your argument, such as you have presented it, to be about the existance of the state of Israel, not the “settlements”.

One way to look at it is there was a dispute over borders between two nations: Israel and Jordan. They arrived at a peace treaty. The Kontorovich article I cited previously has this to say:

Today, the prevalent approach is that even though the land did not belong to Jordan, it was “Jordanian enough,” and therefore the laws of occupation and the Geneva Convention apply to it. This is nonsense, because even if we assumed this was correct, the Geneva Convention no longer applies when there is a peace treaty, and there has been a peace treaty with Jordan since 1994. It has to be either one or the other: Either it belonged to Israel all the time and Israel liberated its own territory in 1967, and you can’t occupy your own territory. Once again, Jews didn’t steal the land: they bought it from Ottoman land owners. Arabs, in their typical fashion, went on murder sprees (even though they moved to the area to take advantage of economic opportunities that Jewish immigration brought). When Israel decalred itself a nation, Arabs redoubbled their murderous efforts. They lost.

The “Palestinian” people are a myth- or at best a modern contrivance. They are in no significant way distinct from other Arabs in the area. They came to the Holy Land via the sword shortly afte rhe death of their murderous con-artist perodphile “prophet”, Mohammad. Arabs are the colonialist settlers! Maybe they should go back to where they came from- you know: Arabia!
