Nebraska DL coach Mike Dawson leaving for NFL
Scott Frost will have a hole to fill on his coaching staff.
On Monday, Frost announced that defensive line coach Mike Dawson will be leaving Nebraska for a position in the NFL with the New York Giants. He will be the outside linebackers coach.
Dawson had spent the last three seasons on Frost’s staff at UCF (2016-17) and Nebraska (2018).

One naturally wonders if Frost reaches out to the guy who had the job before Dawson.

Dawson has over 20 years of coaching experience and has already had a stint in the NFL. From 2013-15, he was on staff with the Philadelphia Eagles, spending one year as a defensive quality control analyst and another two years as an assistant defensive line coach.
He’s also had previous stops at Boston College, Akron and New Hampshire.
