According to a report from Corriere dello Sport, Roma will complete the signing of Atalanta defender Gianluca Mancini in the Summer.

The Giallorossi have been strongly linked with a move for the Italian centre back during the January transfer window but look like they will have to wait until the Summer before doing a deal.

The Rome based newspaper also state that Roma could insert counterparts in the deal, namely Gregoire Defrel. The French striker was loaned to Sampdoria this season but with the recent arrival of Manolo Gabbiadini he is fearful about his playing time and the report states he wishes to go to Atalanta.

Mancini has caught the attention of a host of other clubs aside from Roma – including Inter – with his performances this season.

The 22-year-old has made 18 appearances across all competitions for La Dea, scoring five goals, tallying one assist and keeping four clean sheets in the process.
