We also see the figure carrying two weapons. If you recall, these are the same weapons as the black blasters that came with Siege Ultra Magnus, which seem to carry over it's coloration. This makes sense, since those weapons were very similar to the leg mounted guns on Cybertron Optimus' super mode.

If you paint the armor parts black and white, and slap them on the Ultra Magnus Prime it could make for a cool IDW Nova/Nemisis Prime custom...
On that note am I the only one that wished they used POTP to release figures for Primes that don't have Proper figures like Sentinel and Nova. I didn't expect them to do the Thirteen(they should get there own line that focuses primarily on them and there conflicts, no modern bots). I can't wait to see what else we get in this trilogy. I hope we get war for Cybertron inspired Dinobots at some point, those were probably the best designs they've ever gotten.

As far as I can remember, at least one version of Unicron Trilogy Optimus (the original Armada design I think) was on a poll to see which Convoy would get a new Masterpiece figure, and Star Saber ended up winning. Other than that, I don't remember Cybertron/Galaxy Force Optimus specifically being in a fan poll.
I never owned the original Cybertron Optimus, and I was going to avoid most of the Seige line, but I am impressed with this new Optimus and may even swap out the Power of the Primes Leader for this one on my main Autobot display. It would also be great if that Cybertron Defense Hot Shot from the Hound mould happens at some point, because that's another figure I never had.

Yup! Not in the forums though. I'll add your name in the post since you mentioned it before I wrote the post, but you won't receive a credit.

Yeah the only poll Cybertron Prime was on was the masterpiece one.

Back in 2013... Here are the final results:
11th Fortress Maximus (The Headmasters)
10th Grand Convoy (Superlink/Energon)
9th Lio Convoy (Beast Wars II)
8th Big Convoy (Beast Wars Neo)
7th Galaxy Convoy (Galaxy Force/Cybertron)
6th Beast Wars Convoy (Optimus Primal)
5th Super Fire Convoy (Car Robots/Robots in Disguise)
4th Dai Atlas (Zone)
3rd Super Ginrai (Super God Masterforce)
2nd Micron Densetsu Convoy (Armada)
1st Star Saber (Victory)

Fate repeats here, awesomely enough. I want Siege Ultra Magnus and Cybertron Optimus Prime, and guess what! A retool of Siege Magnus appears as Cybertron Optimus. I mean, like, having an OG Cybertron Optimus Prime would be amazing, this will still be a great substitute, and Cybertron Optimus Primes are expensive. And Siege Magnus I can still get, but I'll wait till a few months from now when it'll eventually go on clearance, assuming I have money at that moment, of course.
It's just interesting how the same thing that happened, like, 3 years ago is happening again.

Thought so, thanks. Kind of defeats the point of the polls if they will take whatever ones they want to from it (albeit not MP). Even six years later I doubt Galaxy Force Prime would have reached higher than 7th today if polled again. In spite of a handful from that list already finding a new toy in the standard and/or MP line.
As Rodimus Prime alluded to earlier, should SIEGE in fact be commemorating the G1 anniversary (as they seem to do every other year ) Wouldn't it be nice if Part Two and Three were commemorative of Other Transformers series? For example, next year is the 20th anniversary of Car Robots/RiD (in Japan) How about that being the basis of WFC Part Two?

I think it was a pick they realized they could make work really well with the UM armoring system. Plus Cybertron Prime and his huge guns certainly go nicely with the line.

Why? Wouldn't tooling um vehicle mode to resemble rid um be an odd pick? Giving hound Cybertron defense hot shots head be an odd choice? Warden didn't pick Cybertron Prime because of that poll from so long ago. As to why they choose Cybertron Prime, well they had a cab and armour... So they thought, well what Primes have super armour, and went from there.

It goes back to what we were saying before, about how other lines IE Car Robots, Unicron Trilogy would work really well, if not make a more natural fit than G1, to the gimmick of SIEGE.
Fingers crossed they take heed of this with Car Robots 20th anniversary next year.

Hopefully with better QC than the Encore God Fire Convoy set.

Part of the reason I’m so disappointed in PotP was specifically because they didnt have new version of Vector Prime, Nemesis Prime, Sentinal Prime (TR figure notwithstanding).

I wasn't into collecting during the Cybertron era, and I've always loved the design for Galaxy Convoy, even if it is a bit exessive. (I mean look at those GUNS!) So getting a version of the design is amazing. Not only that, but this came entirely out of left field. Until we knew there was going to be a Leader Prime from UM, almost nobody could have predicted this, not in a million years. I was honestly thinking it was going to be ANOTHER Powermaster Prime.
Needless to say, I'm glad I was wrong.
also, I don't mind not getting the news credit, I was just currious if anybody had already mentioned it and reported it to the news crew.

What do you call the Amazon-exclusive PotP Nemesis Prime, then?
Also, the TR Sentinel Prime figure is exactly why there wasn't one in PotP
Frankly, I'm more disappointed by the number of Prime Masters (the guys the line was named for and who were its unifying gimmick) that got relegated to being exclusives with no Decoy Armor.

Nah, the Prime Masters were the Pretenders pulling double duty. As I recall theirbsculpts were closer to the Pretender Inner Robots. Those dont count in my book.

If you sre ever interested in circling back around, track down the Cyb Crosswise mold. In my top 3 favorite toys even still. Transformatiin is somewhat intricate but not hard, the deployable missile launcehers in both modes are cool without being obtrusive, and its got a cool integrated shield, plus a gun thst can also serve as a jetpack. And it looks sick in black with the turquise clear.

So the arm kibble isn't detachable? I thought it would partsform. So either it DOES and is part of the "small alt mode" so he has less chunk in the trunk than UM or it doesn't and ends up as fake parts at the back of the tractor's cabine.

We didnt, that was a poll by takara to determine an MP for the japanese market. None of that is in play here. Hasbro already told us they want a leader prime on the shelves. They did PMOP, G1 with evolution, this is just another big Prime they can put on shelves in the gen line that they didnt do yet.

I'm with you on both counts. PotP was the perfect opportunity to give the rest of the Primes full fledged figures, but we got Titan Master proxies instead. And they had designs for Prima and Megatronus as remolds of Black Shadow.
And I too would love to see this new Leader Prime done up as IDW Nemesis.

Not the kind of Primes Hasbro had in mind. There is a difference between the god-like Original 13 (of which Alpha Trion has a representation in TR and PotP, and via Legends CW as well), and the Autobot Supreme Commanders who carry the Matrix. But that's for a different thread.

But what else is there? The 13 primes werent in G1. IDW was G1 themed and expanded on what aligned had, bringing the 13 primes to a G1 type continuity, and then removed their legitimacy. Generations is G1 (and thus partly IDW) themed. So any notion of the 13 primes within the generations line is from this now debunked notion.

I love IDW but it doesn't make sense to say that what happened in that continuity debunks the mythology of another continuity.
If nothing else, FunPub's stories already established that the nature of the Primes can vary between universes (e.g., Shattered Glass Alpha Trion).
And within IDW, Shockwave's time-traveling shenanigans don't rule out the existence of a real 13 before the point he traveled to in the past. If I traveled back in time 2000 years and told everyone I was Jesus, it wouldn't disprove the premise of Christianity.

Because toylines and the continuities they're associated with always match up right?
Oh, wait. They don't. Beast Hunters taught us that. Show and toyline diverged at that point.
Hell, most of the Prime Wars Trilogy was toy only stuff with no matching storyline to back it up. The comics and Machinima series varied greatly in what they chose to use.

Hey Will.
Hey Will.
First off, Generations does draw from more than G1.
But mainly.
One word:
DREAMWAVE
The Dreamwave G1 comics are what introduced the 13 Original Transformers concept in the first place! And the idea of them being demigods (although there were already seeds of that with the Liege Maximo in G2)! And it is sure as hell borne out in that continuity with how powerful the Fallen was!
IDW may have trod roughshod over the idea of their great power as part of its "SHOCKWAVE AMSES TEH ULT!m473 mast3rmind!!!11!" crap, but other continuities (like the one that introduced them, the Aligned family, the Unicron Trilogy, etc) have had more respect.
But wow, talk about an epic brainfart XD. I mean sure, they weren't all identified in G1 material originally. But it was a G1 comic series that introduced the idea along with the group's Judas!

Sadly that was the only way they were going to handle the 13 as its far easier then working with some of the designs of the 13...plus how they would break down in class sizings, for marketing they would need to assign factions...Not to mention they would still need recognisable characters in said toyline, taking away available size slots...basically it wasn't going to happen in a years toyline. They compromised with the Prime masters which let them homage the pretenders to boot. I mean how many of us thought that the pretenders would ever see the light of day again (outside of bot mode references)
Best bet for the original 13 is if hasbro plan a whole trilogy around them and then release 4 a year in Voyager and leader Class (or deluxe and voyager... More space in those slots)

Power of the Primes as in the 13 Original Transformers, as in Titan Master-style figures that act as super-deluxe Energon Stars that channel the power of said 13 Original Transformers.
The Prime Masters were lame.
I'm possible now, maybe, but not necessarily if they'd been running on the scale of Titans Return,
Nexus Prime would be a combiner, so he markets as four deluxes, a voyager, and maybe a scout too, spreading out size-classes. Amalgamous would be a leader to allow maximum alt-modes. Prima, Megatronus, Onyx, and Optimus would be Voyager class, Solus, Quintus, Maximo would be deluxe class. Micronus would get packed in with Amalgamous. Alpha Trion and Vector Prime could have been rereleased or retooled as store exclusives since they already have good molds. And you can double-dip on molds. Nexus Prime would have a box-set rereleased in blue and red. Megatronus would have a repaint as the Fallen. Optimus as Nemesis Prime. Then fill out the line with minor Primes or Prime-adjacent characters like Nova, Zeta, Sentinel, Rodimus, Primal, Thunderwing, and maybe new takes on Cybertron Evac, Scourge, and Overdrive, or homages to characters like Lio Convoy. The $5 class would be filled with Minions that become parts of primal relics like the Requiem Blaster.
