A low pressure area (LPA) entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) before dawn on Thursday and would bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over parts of Visayas and Mindanao, the state-run weather bureau said.
The LPA, which entered at 2 a. m., was spotted 955 kilometers (km) east of Hinatuan Surigao Del Sur, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
