Ogier recruits Advocates in Jersey and Guernsey

Damian EvansOgier has appointed two senior Advocates to its Jersey and Guernsey Dispute Resolution teams.

In Jersey, contentious trusts specialist Damian Evans (pictured right) has joined as Counsel, and in Guernsey, Bryan de Verneuil-Smith has been appointed as a Managing Associate.

With seven years' experience as a Jersey Advocate, most recently heading the contentious trusts team at Jersey law firm Walkers, Damian specialises in commercial litigation including insolvency, contractual disputes, fraud, regulatory and trust disputes.

Bryan de Verneuil-SmithBryan joins Ogier after almost six years with Babbé, where he has most recently represented the Executive Directors of Carlyle Capital Corporation in one of Guernsey's biggest ever civil trials. 

An active member of the Guernsey International Legal Association, Bryan has a broad commercial litigation practice that covers financial services disputes, banking litigation and contentious insolvency.
