Scattered rain expected over Mindanao – PAGASA

The whole of Mindanao would be under the influence of a low-pressure area trough and could thus expect cloudy conditions accompanied with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, weather service PAGASA predicted in a Wednesday morning forecast.

The northeast monsoon would meanwhile bring cloudy conditions with light rain over Aurora and Quezon, and over the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative, Bicol, and Eastern Visayas Regions.

The northeast monsoon would also be responsible for the partly cloudy to cloudy conditions and isolated light rain over the rest of Luzon and the Visayas.

Winds would be strong from the northeast over northern Luzon, and the eastern sections of Central and southern Luzon, and the Visayas; with coastal conditions across all these areas expected to be rough.

Over eastern Mindanao and the rest of Luzon and the Visayas, winds would be moderate to strong from the northeast with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Finally, winds over the rest of Mindanao would be light to moderate from the northeast to north with  slight to moderate coastal waters. — DVM, GMA News
