Khloé Kardashian and Malika Haqq have basically been friends since birth, which means they've seen one another through various beauty disasters. While interviewing the BFFs via phone, Kardashian described to me an old photo of her and Haqq, each decked out in light blue eye shadow all the way up to their brows. "It's really humiliating," she said. Haqq chimed in with the silver lining: "You just couldn’t have told us that we weren’t cute, and neither one of us knew any better. It was bad but at least we were bad together." That's the beauty of best friends — they'll always forgive your mistakes, even if they involve gratuitous eye shadow.

Kardashian and Haqq may have grown up and are no longer as cavalier with the blue pigment, but the duo remains just as close and just as willing to play with makeup. "We’re the type of girls that, if we’re just bored, we might just sit in front of the mirror and play with our faces and do new makeup things," says Kardashian. After years of doing just that, they've become experts on not just what works best for their own looks, but also how to choose makeup for one another. It's only fitting that they've cemented the beauty-loving aspect of their friendship in a new collection with Becca Cosmetics, appropriately named Becca BFFs.

"We're best friends, what's better than doing a project together?" says Kardashian. "To do something so monumental, I wanted to experience it with my best friend." The two even have complementary skills and taken together, you've got a beauty pro. Haqq — who Kardashian describes as a "mini makeup artist" who's "way better than me at doing makeup" — is the friend who can draw on a perfectly straight line of liquid liner on the first try. Kardashian, says Haqq, has "a very good eye when it comes to textures and colors."

They blended their talents and tastes into a three-piece collection themed around love and friendship. "I know everyone thinks love, love, love is so corny, but Malika and I are sisters," explains Kardashian. "There’s no filter with her and me, there’s no fake anything between us, and at the end of the day that’s where you get that BFF longevity."

Haqq tells me that she first learned about highlighters from Kardashian, so it's only fitting that the collection includes a bundle of face, body, and eye luminizers. "She’s a glow girl," Haqq says of her BFF. "Anyone who wears highlighter to the gym, you should listen to them."

Combine Kardashian's love of 24/7 highlighter and Becca's penchant for creating best-selling shine-enhancers like Champagne Pop, and we were bound to get a masterclass in glow with this collaboration. The result: Becca BFFs x Khloé Kardashian & Malika Haqq Glow Letters ($18, shown above), a palette that features "X," "O," and heart-shaped highlighters that create a glow that's so good that you may even be tempted to swipe them on before your workout.

Haqq's favorite item in the collection is the Bronze, Blush & Glow Palette ($44, shown above) a four-pan palette that contains a highlighter, bronzer, and two shades of blush. “I finally got what I wanted, which is packing up my makeup to have everything that I need in one palette," she explains. The goal was to create a "one-stop shop for ourselves, and hopefully for everyone else." The palette comes in two shades custom-made for fans who fit Kardashian's skin tone range of tan, vanilla, peach, and pink, or Haqq's tan, gold, peach, and coral.

Next, the pair worked with Becca to create four lipsticks designed specifically for their skin tones— a nude and a red for Haqq and a nude and a red for Kardashian. Obviously, Malika and I are two different skin tones," laughs Kardashian. But it turned out (call it a little BFF beauty luck) that they can both wear each other's shades. "Most people will probably wonder, how could Khloé and Malika share makeup? But the truth is the right shades sometimes work for all," says Haqq. The end product is four shades of Ultimate Lipstick Love ($24), a satin, hyaluronic-acid infused lipstick bullet. Haqq's shades are Brave (a true red with cool undertones) and Yours Truly (a pinky neutral). Kardashian named her's Hot Tamale (a spicy red with warm undertones) and Cupids Kiss (a rich, toasty neutral.)
