Leave it to Margot Robbie to hit us with all the holiday party makeup inspiration our hearts could ever want (and on an average Monday, no less). The Mary Queen of Scots star showed up to the film's European premiere tonight in London, England wearing a head-turning, holiday-red eye, lip, and cheek look that still has us swooning hours after the first photos were unveiled on Instagram. The mastermind behind the festive maquillage? Makeup artist Pati Dubroff, who kindly gave Allure a glimpse into how she created the monochromatic look.

"[On the eyes], I did a deep base of aubergine and taupe to give the lids dimension before [applying the] red shadow," Dubroff tells Allure. "On fair and medium skin tones, if red goes directly on the lids, it can make the eyes look sickly." Dubroff then used a maroon-toned shadow all over the actress's lids and blended it up into the crease for a stunning smoky effect. The real show-stopper, though, was the red glitter that topped Robbie's lids, which Dubroff says was meant to reflect the sparkly red appliqués on her Rodarte dress. (Don't think you can pull off glitter? These sparkling looks on women of all ages will prove you wrong.)

The holiday-inspired makeup didn't stop there; Dubroff decided to give Robbie daring-red lips, too, using the new Chanel Rouge Velvet Extreme Lipstick, and even added a touch of scarlet-colored blush to the star's cheeks to tie it all together. She finished off the look with soft-focused skin and feathery brows to balance everything out and let the main focus be on the beautiful, crimson-red tones.

To say it's one of our favorite makeup looks of the holiday season would be an understatement. In fact, we might just re-create it for every party we've got on our calendars up until Christmas. Can you really blame us?
