IU basketball lands commitment from Center Grove big man Trayce Jackson-Davis
BLOOMINGTON – Just months after signing the 2018 IndyStar Mr. Basketball, IU landed a player who might well be Romeo Langford’s successor for that award.
Trayce Jackson-Davis, a standout 6-9 center at Center Grove, a potential McDonald’s All American and one of Indiana’s top targets at any position in 2019, committed to the Hoosiers on Friday.
Jackson-Davis, rated the No. 16 overall player in the 2019 class by the 247Sports Composite, has long been a key target for IU coach Archie Miller and his staff. The Center Grove big man has visited Bloomington several times. He chose IU over UCLA and Michigan State.

He gives Indiana an anchor for future frontcourts, with Juwan Morgan set to graduate this season and De’Ron Davis already halfway through his college career.
Jackson-Davis averaged 22.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.7 blocked shots and 2.8 assists per game last season, leading Center Grove to a regional final.
Jackson-Davis joins Cathedral forward Armaan Franklin in Indiana's 2019 recruiting class. The two play each other tonight at Center Grove at 7:30 p.m.
IU's next top priority target is Fort Wayne forward Keion Brooks, who plays at LaLumiere in LaPorte.
