A Demi Lovato concert and reality-show guest appearance has been cancelled in the wake of her hospitalization, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Lovato was previously scheduled to appear on a Tuesday night episode of Beat Shazam on Fox, which was canceled on Tuesday. The Fox Broadcasting Company announced that the episode would be replaced with another new episode. “Our thoughts go out to Demi and her family,” Fox wrote in a statement provided to THR. The episode featuring Lovato was originally filmed in December 2017.
The singer’s upcoming Thursday concert at Atlantic City Beachfest was also scrapped, the venue reported on Twitter Tuesday. “Demi’s Atlantic City appearance on 7/26 has been canceled in light of today’s news,” the tweet read. “Tix will be valid to attend the Lauv performance on 7/26 along w/ The Chainsmokers show on 7/29 as part of the AC BeachFest Concert Series.” The venue also wrote that refunds would be provided if preferred.
As late as 6:30 p.m. Tuesday the AC Beach Concerts Twitter handle was advertising the July 26 concert with Lovato, who was scheduled to perform at 9:15 p.m. ET.
Lovato’s representatives confirmed that the signer was not in perfect health in a statement on Tuesday, though they did not specify the reason for her reported hospitalization.

“Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support,” a representative told The Hollywood Reporter. “Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed earlier Tuesday that they had responded to a call at 11:39 a.m. to a home on the 8000 block of Laurel View Drive in the Hollywood Hills for a female victim of a possible overdose; Lovato’s home is on that block. Per a source, the cause was not a heroin overdose, as previously reported by other outlets.
Lovato, who has previously admitted to suffering with drug addiction, released the song “Sober” this summer, which suggested the singer had possibly relapsed after being sober for years.
