Police Calls | Man accused of punching pregnant girlfriend

400 block of Sherman Place - A 30-year-old woman called police Friday morning to tell them she was arguing with a 28-year-old man who is the father of her unborn child. The woman told the officer the man punched her in the mouth with a closed fist. The woman was told how she could file domestic violence charges. Police tried to reach the man, but could not find him. Photographs were taken of the scene.

Police Department, 30 N. Diamond St. - A 39-year-old woman turned herself in at the police department Friday. She had an active warrant out of Pennsylvania that police confirmed. Officers arrested the woman.

200 block of Hillside Circle - A 52-year-old man was taken to the hospital Friday after officers revived him with naloxone. The man said he hadn't used any drugs other than some marijuana, but police found a burnt piece of aluminum and a plastic wrapper in the bedroom where the man was lying. At the hospital, the man was given a medical release, an immunity form and a recovery resource packet.

200 block West Fourth Street - A 25-year-old man was arrested Friday after admitting to police that he was responsible for spray-painting a nearby house. Officers found a can of spray paint in his jacket pocket. The man was taken to jail on a criminal mischief charge.

400 block of Sherman Place - The 30-year-old woman who called police Friday morning called again Friday afternoon and said the 28-year-old man who is the father of her unborn child returned to residence after police left because he was upset that she called law enforcement. The woman said the man grabbed her by the neck and "choke slammed" her onto the living room floor. The man also allegedly said "I'm going to ruin your life." Officers took note of a fresh scratch on the woman's face. While police were at the home, the man called the woman's cell phone. An officer spoke to the man and convinced him to visit the police station for discussion. The man told officers "we argue and that's just how we do." Once the man admitted that the woman was more than five months pregnant with his child, officers arrested him and charged him with domestic violence.
