Sign up for Amazon Prime and get $20 off your next Whole Foods purchase

A rare chance for new members to save even more.

Amazon is giving new customers a new reason to sign up for Amazon Prime. It’s the first time in a while Amazon has offered a bonus just for signing up, although there are plenty of benefits to doing so anyway. Starting Nov. 16, new members joining the Amazon Prime family will be able to save $20 off your next purchase of $20 or more in-store at Whole Foods Market. You’ll still get the first 30 days free, as well.

This deal is part of Amazon’s new promo called “Seven Days of Black Friday.” We shared it earlier today and highlighted a lot of the great deals that will be available before Black Friday even gets here.

Remember, in order to get the $20 off you’ll most likely need to download the Whole Foods app to your phone and connect your new Prime account to it. You scan it at Whole Foods during checkout. This is a direct incentive to sign up for Prime. Obviously, Amazon offers a lot of benefits for people who are already members, but we haven’t seen many deals trying to rope in new members for a while.

Since Amazon bought Whole Foods, we’ve seen a lot of interesting deals designed to help consumers save money on groceries. Almost all of them have been restricted to Prime members. This is the best deal we’ve seen for people who are not Prime members, and all you have to do is sign up. Plus, you’ll be able to try all the other benefits of Prime like free 2-day shipping, Prime Video, and more. That doesn’t even include the other Prime savings you’ll get for shopping at Whole Foods, which includes 10% off almost everything and special deals throughout the store targeting Prime members.

Combine it with Amazon’s second Whole Foods promo good through Nov. 22, which includes discounts on organic and no antibiotic turkey. Once you’re signed up for Prime, you’ll be able to reserve your turkey in advance and save even more with turkey prices dropping down to $2.99 a pound for organic and $1.99 a pound for no antibiotic.

While you’re a Prime member, whether you choose to continue the service or not, take advantage of some of Amazon’s other excellent Black Friday deals. We’re seeing deals including the Echo Dot smart speaker for as low as $24, three months of Amazon Music Unlimited for $1, and more.
