Evesham police nab woman suspect minutes after Wells Fargo Bank robbery
EVESHAM – Police apprehended a female suspect shortly after the Wells Fargo Bank was robbed of $1,400 Tuesday morning in Evesham. No one was injured.
Evesham police Chief Christopher Chew said Elnora Brown, 44, of Philadelphia, was found walking through a parking lot minutes after the Wells Fargo Bank at 501 Route 70 West was robbed at 9:30 a.m.
She was charged with second degree robbery and will be lodged in the Burlington County Jail without bail.
"A bank employee reported that a female walked into the bank wearing a poncho and presented a teller with a note demanding money. The female was given approximately $1,400 cash, then fled the bank on foot," Chew said in a news release.
