It's a "known" issue, as many people have complained in the past they were getting error messages while they were trying to register. It doesn't seem to be a solution that works with everybody.
You could try to delete your cookies for that site or use a different browser. Maybe try with a different IP (I've heard that certain IP's may be banned by the site) and (or) a different emai address. You could try registering from your mobile phone. I hope you find the solution that works for you.
