What a week it was in high school sports and with that, some incredible individual performances came forward. In all, eight athletes need your votes for athlete of the week.

They are: 

» Ashland’s Anna Watson followed Friday's 2-over 72 on the Gray layout with a 76 to finish at 148, leading the Arrows to a fourth-place total of 642 at the state golf tournament.

» Shelby's Caleb Brown took the Division II individual district championship with a time of 15:21.8 in Saturday’s race.

» Lexington's Joanna Halfhill took first place in the Division II District Cross Country race in Galion on Saturday. Halfhill ran a blazing 18:40.1 to record a new personal record.

» Madison’s Owen Ross recorded a hat trick in the first half of the Rams’ win over Lima Senior in the Division I sectional championship game last week.

» Madison’s Kalie Blaising knocked in three first-half goals for the Lady Rams in their 10-0 win over Tiffin Columbian in the Division II sectional championship game last week.

» Lexington’s Lacee Bethea recorded a hat trick in Lady Lex’s win over Perkins in the Division II sectional championship game.

» Clear Fork’s Kaylin Helinski scored five goals in the Lady Colts Division II sectional championship win over Sandusky last week.

» Ontario’s Bria Meisse scored four goals in the Lady Warriors’ win over Norwalk in the Division II sectional championship last week.

Voting ends at 7 p.m. on Friday.
