Ok, hopefully this is fast. I found this on the floor under my 69 project car. I know I have seen them around but can't for the life of me remember where it would go. Any chance it is actually from the 69 Spit?

Yes, at first glance it appears to be a rocker arm spacer spring.

Door locks or the boot lock have spring washers in them.

Main use is the spacer on each bolt on the hood stay and the trunk stay. Puts a little tension on the rod to keep it from.rattling.
I use a cone shape washer from a faucet pack with silicone. Very quite.

Passenger footwell side of the throttle shaft uses one (P/N WD0159).

hey Dan…. Dual DCOE Weber conversion uses them also in their soft mount system..... But I've got the sneaking feeling that's not a viable option in this case.....

However - thought you should know... LOL

Ah HA! I think Brian wins this one. Wayne gets 2nd place. I did have the boot lid stay out of the spare lid early this Spring. I don't remember now if I knew I dropped it and could not find it or if it just jumped over under the bench without telling me.
When I remember to check when in the shop, I will check it.
Thanks all of you for the responses.
Paul, I did recall last night that the throttle shaft used those but I have not messed with that for several years now.
Z, yeah, that would not be an issue with this car.
