Ok, hopefully this is fast. I found this on the floor under my 69 project car. I know I have seen them around but can't for the life of me remember where it would go. Any chance it is actually from the 69 Spit?

Washer - Double Coil Locking - ID 3/8 - WS600061
Found on the boot lid stay but there may be others.
Maybe it stuck to your shoe LOL

Main use is the spacer on each bolt on the hood stay and the trunk stay. Puts a little tension on the rod to keep it from.rattling.
I use a cone shape washer from a faucet pack with silicone. Very quite.

Ah HA! I think Brian wins this one. Wayne gets 2nd place. I did have the boot lid stay out of the spare lid early this Spring. I don't remember now if I knew I dropped it and could not find it or if it just jumped over under the bench without telling me.
When I remember to check when in the shop, I will check it.
Thanks all of you for the responses.
Paul, I did recall last night that the throttle shaft used those but I have not messed with that for several years now.
Z, yeah, that would not be an issue with this car.
