James Carville, right, political consultant, discusses the 2018 midterm elections and the Trump Presidency during a panel discussion at the 2018 Domenici Public Policy Conference, Thursday, September 13, 2018.

James Carville bet big on Bill Clinton in 1992, and as the Clinton campaign's lead strategist, he propelled Clinton to his election as president of the United States.

On Wednesday, Carville said this week he's betting on Purdue.

Carville picked football games on Wednesday's Tony Kornheiser Show podcast.

On the show, they listed No. 2-ranked Ohio State as a 13-point favorite against Purdue in Saturday's Big Ten Conference game.

Purdue quarterback David Blough and center Kirk Barron slap hands with the Purdue faithful after the Boilermakers defeated Boston College 30-13 Saturday, September 22, 2018, in Ross-Ade Stadium.

"I'm gonna buy the hook to 14," Carville said. "I'm gonna take the 'dogs [underdogs] against the No. 1 and the No. 2 teams in the country."

Carville also predicted Tennessee to cover against No. 1 Alabama and for No. 5 LSU to cover against Mississippi State

Alabama is a 29-point favorite against Tennessee, and LSU is a 6-point favorite against Mississippi State, based on the spreads given on the show.

Kornheiser's retort to Carville's Purdue prediction, "I don't know about Purdue. They're not a good team. I know they're home. Ohio State is a good team."

The last time Carville picked games on Kornheiser's show was two weeks ago, and Carville correctly predicted two of three games.

In addition to his podcast, Kornheiser is a co-host of ESPN's "Pardon the Interruption" with Michael Wilbon.
