UAB head football coach Bill Clark has been named to the Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year Award Watch List for 2018.In his third season at UAB, Clark has the Blazers off to one of their best starts in program history. UAB is currently 5-1 and undefeated in Conference USA play. Clark is among 20 coaches in the running for the 33rd annual coaching award. The winner will be announced on Jan. 9.Other coaches on the watch list:Mario Cristobal (Oregon), Dave Doeren (NC State), Luke Fickell (Cincinnati), Jimbo Fisher (Texas A&M), Jim Harbaugh (Michigan), Tom Herman (Texas), Josh Heupel (UCF), Dana Holgorsen (West Virginia), Seth Littrell (North Texas), Mike MacIntyre (Colorado), Dan Mullen (Florida), Ed Orgeron (LSU), Lincoln Riley (Oklahoma), Nick Saban (Alabama), Kirby Smart (Georgia), Dabo Swinney (Clemson), Mark Stoops (Kentucky) and Charlie Strong (USF).
