Shelby Area Democratic Club plans meeting

SHELBY – The Shelby Area Democratic Club will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18 in the Sutter Roush Room, 23 E. Main St., directly behind the Municipal Utilities Office.

Yard signs for Democratic candidates will be available for distribution. Club members will discuss and make preparations for the Nov. 6 general election. A nominating committee will also be appointed. 

All area Democrats and persons of good will are invited to attend.

Springmill Drive-In Theater shows Halloween movies

MANSFIELD - Mansfield's Springmill Drive-In Theater is showing Halloween movies this weekend only, Friday, Oct. 19 and Saturday, Oct. 20.

Screen 1 will play "Halloween," rated R, at 7:30 p.m. and Night School, rated PG-13, at 9:35 p.m.

Screen 2 will play "Goosebumps," rated PG, at 7:35 p.m. and Venom, rated PG-13, at 9:25 p.m.

Fun Center Chordsmen to perform at Mifflin church

MIFFLIN - St. Michael Lutheran Church in the village of Mifflin is hosting a free meal at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, followed by a performance from the Fun Center Chordsmen at 6 p.m.

Community Christmas Choir plans rehearsals

MADISON TOWNSHIP - Rehearsals for this year's Community Christmas Choir start at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28 at Madison Comprehensive High School, 600 Esley Lane.

Directed by Craig Green, the large ensemble draws men, women and children who enjoy singing. Rehearsals will continue weekly.

The choir will present the cantata Praise Noels at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9 at Madison Middle School, 1419 Grace St.

The free annual choir and concert are sponsored by St. Timothy Church, 1262 Ashland Road. Pastor Bonnie Peltomaa presides at weekly worship at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sundays and 7 p.m. Mondays.  For more information, go to www.StTimMansfield.org or contact Renee at secretary@sttimmansfield or 419 589-5252.
