Lisa Armstrong is 'starting afresh' after her divorce

TV favourite Ant McPartlin and Lisa Armstrong were granted a divorce by a judge at the Central Family Court in London.

Judge Alun Jenkins granted the pair a decree nisi in under 30 seconds, today on Tuesday 16 October. 

While Lisa has said nothing on the divorce – and kept a dignified silence throughout the split – she has since liked a post in front of her 138,000 Twitter followers, which read: “Get ready to pull up your big girls pants tomorrow lovely lady cos its your turn to start afresh. #Thisisyourturn.”

Ant, 42, and Lisa, 41, announced in January that they were splitting after 23 years together and 11 years of marriage. 

At the time of their split, a representative for Ant said in a statement: "In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after eleven years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa McPartlin.

“Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families. No further statement will be made.”

The couple met at a roadshow in Newcastle in the mid-1990s while Lisa was a singer in group Deuce.

They went to tie the knot in 2006 at at St. Nicolas’ Church in Taplow, Buckinghamshire.

Ant is now dating his former personal assistant, Anne-Marie Corbett.

The two were recently spotted out hand-in-hand after a dinner together and last month were pictured sharing a kiss while walking Ant’s labrador dog Hurley in a park.

The ITV presenter appeared to prove the couple are serious after making a selfie with Anne-Marie the background on his phone.

The divorce comes weeks after it was revealed Ant will not co-host the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! with Declan Donnelly, after stepping down from his TV commitments following his rehab stint earlier this year. 

He will instead be replaced by This Morning favourite Holly Willoughby, who recently shared her excitement over the new gig.
