Charlie Gubb joined the Raiders from the Warriors. A popular Member amongst the playing group, the New Zealander's time in Canberra was hampered by injuries after putting in some strong displays when called upon.

Gubb only played five matches for the green machine and was very unlucky not have played more after sustaining a groin injury during the Raiders' round two loss to the Knights at GIO Stadium.

Midway through the 2018 season the Club granted Gubb a release to join the Widness Vikings in England.
