Richard,
Make sure you are not confusing the door lock rods with the door opener rods...
They are different lengths.
Just trying to help....

The door lock rod has a screw adjustment on the end. The latch rods just have a plastic connector in the middle and I don't see any adjustment unless there is something I am missing ( I hope!).

Richard,
You are absolutely correct! My doors are not yet installed so I am here looking at the passenger side...
Only the locking rod has an adjustable end.
I just measured the total travel of the latching rod (at the point where it is inserted into the actual latching mechanism) to see how far it moves to pop the latch. Mine moves about 1/2 inch and it pops. It does not move much farther beyond that... Maybe 1/16".
I cannot imagine why yours is not working.
Is you left working properly? Can you somehow compare the two? Maybe it is a latch problem and not the rod length...?
Those who confuse Burro and Burrow don't know their @ss from a hole in the ground...

Paul, Thank you for that measurement. I will compare that to how far mine needs to move to trip the latch tomorrow. I guess it could be wear in the latch, not the handle. You are absolutely correct! My doors are not yet installed so I am here looking at the passenger side...

I think the latches are slotted to allow some fore and aft adjustment.
