LANCASTER – City police said a Fairfield Christian Academy student reportedly made a possible threat against the school.

FCA Superintendent Craig Carpenter, told police Thursday another student informed him about the possible threat.

As of Friday midday the police were not sure when exactly the incident took place and there have been no arrests yet.

Det. Lt., Brian Lowe, said the student in question reportedly made “irresponsible comments” about school shootings.

Students from the school reported the student in question was talking about how vulnerable schools are and how the casualty rate could be much higher if these shooters took advantage of fire drills or assemblies.

Lowe said, the student in question told a schoolmate they should wear a bullet proof vest to school the next morning when asked.

The student in question reportedly made a comment about a crusade with a gun, but police did not release the specifics.

Lowe said, the police do not think the student had plans to execute anything, but they are taking the indirect threat seriously. The incident is under investigation.

While there are usually police officers at the school there was an extra presence on Friday.
