See where you can give blood during hurricane season

The American Red Cross has put out an emergency call for blood donations thanks in part to the hurricane season.

Hurricane Florence has canceled nearly 200 blood drives in the southeast, resulting in more than 5,200 uncollected blood and platelet donations. Residents in Ohio and other unaffected areas have been asked to help fill that gap.

Blood drives are available in Licking County. To find out where drives are being held and to schedule a blood appointment, go to www.redcrossblood.org.
