HS Roundup: Black Bears roll Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE - Jordan Bryant and Sean Watts each collected hat tricks, as visiting River View topped Cambridge 10-0 in East Central Ohio League boys soccer on Tuesday.

Nathan Bullock added two goals and Drew Ireland and Bryson Fry scored a goal apiece for the Black Bears, who improved to 8-2 overall and 3-1 in the league.

Bryce Duncan and Colt Eaton had two assists each, while Watts, Reas Pepper, Andrew Martin, Nathan Bullock, Hunter Haines and Caleb Shriver also assisted goals.

Girls Soccer

River View 13, Cambridge 0: Claire Warschauer had a hat trick with an assist, as the Lady Bears improved to 8-1-1 on the season.

Lexi Fry added two goals and two assists and Emmie Brenly also kicked two goals with an assist for River View, which held Cambridge to no shots on goal.

Zanesville 8, Coshocton 1: Zoe Stafford scored the Lady Skins' lone goal in an ECOL loss.

Volleyball

Ridgewood 25, 25, 25, Newcomerstown 16, 17, 12: Morgan Matis totaled 10 kills, 10 digs, four points, two blocks and two aces, as the host Generals improved to 7-5.

Abbey Kellish chipped in 16 digs, seven kills, five points and five aces for the winners, while Sydney Zinkon added 13 assists and three points, Kalie Rettos 11 digs, five kills, eight points and three aces, Aleeah Cabot 16 assists and six points, Jaelyn McGee five kills and two blocks and Carly Griffith nine digs.

Cambridge 26, 25, 25, River View 24, 23, 21: Sydnee Bice had seven kills, Cassidy Dulgar made 14 digs and Grace Hayes passed out 11 assists in the Lady Bears' ECOL loss.
