Fifa 19 challenges players to outdo their heroes

‘Champions Rise’ from Adam&Eve/DDB features a star-studded cast including Kevin De Bruyne, Paulo Dybala, Pep Guardiola, Steven Gerrard, Kylian Mbappe, Alessandro Del Piero, Quavo and Joel Embiid.

It challenges fans to upstage the world’s best footballers, particularly urging them to outdo Neymar and Ronaldo after the EA Sports game’s release on 28 September.

The spot was directed by BRTHR through Riff Raff/Passion Pictures and launched today (18 September). It shows the far-reaching effects football has on the media, social, online and in esports, and how moments in the game can help shape the world around it.

The latest game marks the first time the Uefa Champions League features in the game, and as such, will play a central role in the marketing for the title.

Mat Goff, joint chief executive of Adam&Eve/DDB, said: “Fifa 19 puts the UEFA Champions League in the hands of gamers for the first time. It’s been great working with the team at EA Sports again, along with some of the world’s greatest footballing talent, to showcase the rise of a new generation of champions.”
