Hello September! August wrap up and favorites + September TBR!!

Hello everyone? Where did summer go? Well... to be honest weather in September feels like summer in Greece but still it is super nice to drop below 38 degrees Celsius like we had in July!
If you are familiar we these posts you know what to expect:

  1. My August wrap up! Aka all the books I read this month!
  2. My top 5 favorites things or moments from August.
  3. Last but not least my September TBR, aka to be read books!

Let's begin!
During August I read 3 books (not as much as I liked but better than previous months!) Those were:

  1. Ginati by Yiannis Kalpouzos - A greek book by a greek author. Too bad it is not translated in english (yet at least) - 4,5*
  2. Bright Smoke, Cold Fire by Rosamund Hodge - This has been the biggest disappointment of the year so far. I had super high expectations of this book having adored Cruel Beauty. It was not bad at all but it was not that mind-blown experience I had on mind. - 3*
  3. Balanced and Beautiful by the Tone It Up co-creators, fitness experts and best friends Karena Dawn and Katrina Scott - This is a 5-day reset guide for body, mind and spirit to Refresh, Motivate, Inspire, Energize and Relax. - 5*
Also, I am currently reading Voyager by Diana Gabaldon, the third book in the Outlander series! I have been loving it so far! Did not manage to finish this by August 31st but I have reached 300 pages out of 870!

August favorites!

No 1. BOOK

As you noticed above, the best book I read in August was Balanced and Beautiful by the Tone It Up girls! To be honest I was surprised by this book! After their 5-day detox program which is free to their website I did not expect to see so many new things to reset your whole life in their book! And thank God I was wrong! They have included so many girl-talks by amazing tiu girls, delicious recipes, lifestyle challenges and workouts that I am 100% sure than I am going to re-read it many many times in order to incorporate those good habits to my routine! It is a book to come back to when life gets hectic! I highly recommend it!!!

No 2. SONG

Nevermind on repeat! By Dennis Lloyd.

N0 3. TRAVEL

I traveled to the mountains! I love the sea but I equally love the mountains as well!! I visited my grand-parents' village called Domnista and I had an amazing time mostly spent with my family! It was super nice and relaxing! I kind of need that type of holiday as well in addition to the island life I had when visited Kythnos in July! Balance is KEY!

No 4. MOVIE

For the first time I watched more than one movie this month! I watched "The Ottoman Lieutenant" which was really good and also the "Deathnote" movie (I had seen the anime series years ago) but THE BEST movie I watched this month was "To All The Boys I've Loved Before". (They are all three available on Netflix.)

I haven't read the book, but the movie was so cute! I loved it! I will definitely re-watch it many times in the future and now I am really curious to read the books as well! If you need a cute romance movie that will make you laugh your heart out this is the one! No joke!

No 5. FULL MOON + COCKTAILS

Summer is all about socializing! Getting out with friends or with your other half, drinking cocktails, enjoying the full moon... Those are my most favorite summer nights! And I had a lot of them this summer!!! I am so grateful to having spent an amazing time with my family, my friends and my fiance!

Lastly, my September TBR! Ambitious as ever!

  1. Finish Voyager by Diana Gabaldon (still have like 500+ pages to read!)
  2. Emerald Sea by Richelle Mead, the third and final book in the Glittering Court series.
  3. Catwoman : Soulstealer by the amazing Sarah J. Maas! (can't help it if I love all her books!!!!)
  4. The Boleyn Inheritance by Philippa Gregory (The 10th book in The Plantagenet and Tudor Novels! - you can totally read them separately though as each one is has different main characters)
What have you read or are going to read? Always looking out for book recommendation!

Cheers to a beautiful summer that is ending and to new beginnings that fall will bring! May we create more beautiful memories, be present and give love!!

xoxo Joan!
