The current console generation two thirds of the Dark Souls trilogy already, but FromSoft isn't stopping there. Bandai Namco announced at Gamescom today that not only is the second game in the series joining its predecessor in getting a rerelease, but it'll do so as part of the Dark Souls Trilogy package due out in October.
The trilogy will include the Dark Souls Remastered release alongside Dark Souls II: Scholars of the First Sin and Dark Souls III in a steelbook case. The compilation will also include all the DLC for each of the three games in the series in one package, making this a pretty definitive edition. No trilogy package deal was announced for Steam owners, but it seems unlikely the games wouldn't be offered in a bundle on Valve's store at some point.
If you need more practice in your studies of "git gud," or if you just want all three Dark Souls games in one package, you can pick up the trilogy on your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One for $79.99. The games will be mostly offered in a digital format, as only a limited number of physical editions will be available and you're encouraged to pre-order if you want to make sure you get one. The Dark Souls Trilogy will arrive on October 19 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems alongside the initial release of Dark Souls Remastered for the Nintendo Switch, which was delayed in April.
I've fixed that though, thanks for the catch!
The Remaster just came out this same year, why release this now?
*You died*
I'm not very good though which is why I've never picked them up, I do like the style and atmosphere of the games and this will be worth adding to my collection.
I got all main borderlands games with all DLC for like 12 bucks
But it seems this could be pretty exclusive, the physical editions at least,.. If the DLC is on disk
That Tweet doesn't make much sense anyway.
"Sorry European PS4 and Xbox One owners you won't be getting this but you can get Dark Souls Remastered on the Switch in October".
Not sure why they're choosing not to release it in Europe anyway especially as region locking is mostly a thing of the past now and all you need on PS4 is a North American PSN account and then you can purchase these and play them on your European PSN account. Region exclusivety seems pointless these days.
i.e.PS5
Wtf BandaiNamco?
