Last year, Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights worked directly with producer Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions to bring several of its feature films to life within the theme park.

On top of creating an attraction based on the then yet-to-be-released fourth chapter of the “Insidious” franchise, “Insidious: The Last Key,” Blum and Halloween Horror Nights executive producer John Murdy worked together to create The Horrors of Blumhouse attraction. The maze featured three Blumhouse films, including “Sinister” and “The Purge,” as well as serving as a living trailer for the film “Happy Death Day,” which hit theaters a month after Halloween Horror Nights opened to the public.

The Horrors of Blumhouse will return this haunting season as The Horrors of Blumhouse: Chapter 2, this time mirroring two newer films from within the extensive Blumhouse catalog: “Truth or Dare” and “Unfriended.”

Park guests will have to try and survive the ancient curse that is forcing them to play a deadly game of truth or dare and become pawns in a cyber game played by a supernatural entity that’s haunting chat rooms.

Halloween Horror Nights officially opens on Friday, Sept. 14, and runs on select dates through Saturday, Nov. 3.  Other mazes that have been revealed include Halloween 4:The Return of Michael Meyers, the 1982 supernatural thriller, “Poltergeist,” the popular Netflix series “Stranger Things,” the latest installment of “The Purge” franchise, “The First Purge,” and cult-classic “Trick ‘r Treat.” The notorious killer clown, Hollywood Harry, will be back to terrorize the Universal backlot in the all-new Terror Tram: Hollywood Harry’s Dreadtime Storiez and the permanent “The Walking Dead” attraction will be filled with more walkers than ever.

Single and multi-day general admission and VIP passes, Frequent Fright Passes and more are on sale at HalloweenHorrorNights.com.
