The woman accusing Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison of emotional and physical abuse spoke out for the first time in a Thursday CBS interview.

During the interview, Sierra Club activist Karen Monahan described a heated argument with her former boyfriend in September 2016 after he came into a room while she was laying on a bed on her stomach and listening to a podcast, CBS reported.
Monahan, 44, said Ellison asked her to take out the trash, then exploded after she nodded her head.
“He looked at me, goes ‘Hey you f***ing hear me,’ … and then he looked at me, he goes ‘Bitch, get the f*** out of my house,’ and he started to try to drag me off the bed,” Monahan told CBS, adding that she decided at that point to turn her “camera on to video him.”
Although Monahan is choosing to speak out, she has not yet shared the video that she claims is saved on her computer. Monahan’s son, Austin, spoke out via Facebook earlier this week after finding and watching the video showing Ellison trying to drag his mother off a bed.
“I was using my moms computer trying to download something and I clicked on a file, I found over 100 text and twitters (sic) messages and video almost 2 min long that showed Keith Ellison dragging my mama off the bed by her feet, screaming and calling her a ‘f**king bitch’ and telling her to get the f**k out of his house,” Austin wrote on Facebook.
Ellison continues to deny the allegations.
“I’m mortified, absolutely stunned that she would say this,” he told CBS Minnesota, adding that the video couldn’t exist “because I never did that.”
