Michael Moore attacked President Donald Trump as a “tyrant, liar, racist” in the official movie poster artwork he unveiled Wednesday for “Fahrenheit 11/9.”
“Whoa! Here it is! The official poster for my new movie! See you at the theaters on Opening Day–Friday, September 21st! #Fahrenheit119,” the 64-year-old filmmaker captioned his post on Instagram, along with a shot of the poster for his anti-Trump film.
The headline across the top of the picture read, “Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 11/9 Tyrant. Liar. Racist. A Hole in One.” The artwork contained a photo of Trump playing golf, an image of the White House in the background and behind that a nuclear mushroom cloud. Last week, Moore shared with the Huffington Post what people can expect to see in his latest film.
“Donald Trump is an evil genius. He has no intention of leaving the White House. Whenever he hears that another country has a president for life, he perks up and thinks, ‘I like the sound of that!’ And he has an obedient political party that holds every seat of power backing him up,” the filmmaker said.
“American journalism schools have not trained students how to cover an authoritarian leader. Our media has no idea what it is up against,” he added. “They’re getting steamrolled by a tyrant because Trump understands media and understands the country he lives in more than those that cover him do. This puts us all in grave danger. If nothing else, I hope this film exposes that grave danger and shows people the way out.”
