Bloom-Carroll news: Carroll Community Festival this Friday and Saturday

Carroll Community Festival will be held Friday and Saturday. There will be free admission and entertainment provided for the two-day event. Food and craft vendors will be present as well as amusement games.

The featured band for Friday evening will be These Guys Live and for Saturday evening will be The Menus.

Saturday the community parade steps off at 10 a.m.The route will be: Bloom-Carroll Middle School on South Beaver Street, left onto Canal, left onto Market Street, and then return to the school. Parade participants should begin lining up at 8:30 a.m. No entries will be accepted after 9:15 a.m.

There will be a wine garden near the stage both evenings. Vendors will be selling the wine from a 1966 Vintage Airstream Mobile Wine Bar. 

The Carroll Community Festival Corn Hole Tournament is at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. There will be cash prizes.

Registration begins at 5 p.m. Saturday for the Kiddie Tractor Pull which begins at 6 p.m. The pull will be held on Center Street.

Lithopolis gospel music group organizes concerts

Cornerstone is once again bringing Gospel Music to the Bandstand in Downtown Lancaster. Founding member, Mel Meloy of Bloom Township announced that at 7 p.m. Aug. 24, Cornerstone will have Homelighters Quartet, The River Valley Boys and his own band, Cornerstone.

At 7 p.m. Aug. 31, the bandstand will be the venue for The Lemleys, Heartsong, and Cornerstone. Those attending are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair. A freewill offering will be taken to offset the cost of this event.

All Class Reunion

Anyone who attended Bloom Carroll in the 1970s and 1980s, is invited to the Pumphouse in Lithopolis this Saturday for class reunions.The Garage Band will be playing on the patio and the jukebox will be rocking inside. The reunions begin at 5 p.m. and end at 1 a.m.  The Pump House is located at 17-21 E Columbus St, Lithopolis.

Sports passes

Admission prices for Bloom-Carroll athletic home games will be $6 for adults and $4 for high school students. For middle school events, the price is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Bloom-Carroll will be offering season ticket packages for regular season home games for the 2018-2019 school year. Prices range from $55 for a single Student All-Sports Pass up to $300 for a Family All-Sports Pass (2 adults & 2 children). Fall season passes and winter season passes are also available.
