Beckenham firefighters have built their own memorial garden at their station to pay tribute to two colleagues who died last year.
Danny Haxton, 37, died in July last year after collapsing at Beckenham fire station.
He left behind a wife and two children, and his colleague Danny Stephen Irvine said at the time: "The memory of Danny will live on through his two children, Olivia and Harry."
Today colleagues, friends and family came together at Beckenham Fire Station’s memorial garden to remember two great men- WM Danny Haxton and FF Mark Hilder who were taken away from us last year. The firefighter had worked for London Fire Brigade for 12 years and he eventually became watch manager.
Mark Hilder suddenly died a month later having served on the Blue watch in Beckenham.
He had a fiancée, Rachel, and young daughter.
Friends and family of the two men went to Beckenham fire station on Sunday (August 12) for the launch of the memorial garden.
