Police beat: Fake $100 bill used at Burger King

Aug. 9

A 43-year-old man reported he had been assaulted.

Police received a report of theft, telecommunications fraud and misuse of a credit card from Moto Mart, a gas station at 691 West Center Street. About $65 worth of merchandise was reported stolen.

Aug. 10

A 36-year-old man was arrested in the 400 block of West Center Street on suspicion of conveyance or possession of a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance, a felony offense; and of failure to appear, a misdemeanor offense.

A burglary was reported at a house in the 200 block of South State Street. Among the items reported stolen were an Xbox controller, a Sound Bar, a TV and an Xbox gaming system collectively worth an estimated $340.

Aug. 11

A 26-year-old man was arrested in the 300 block of Marion Avenue on suspicion of misdemeanor assault.

A 31-year-old woman reported that her cell phone was stolen in the 600 block of Decatur Street.

A 49-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor theft and disorderly conduct at the Family Dollar on North Main Street after some tank tops were reported stolen.

Police received a report of forgery at the Burger King on Delaware Avenue. A fake $100 bill was taken into evidence by police.

Aug. 9

A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of theft after about $130 worth of merchandise was stolen from the Kohl's on McMahan Boulevard.

A 34-year-old man is suspected of domestic violence in the 200 block of Marion Street in Green Camp after a 31-year-old woman reported she was assaulted.
