He's one of the best young forwards in the competition and again he showed why at GIO Stadium on Sunday.
However, Joe Tapine said he it hard to bask in the afterglow of his performance when it comes as part of yet another loss for the Canberra Raiders, one that ended their mathematical chances of playing finals football in 2018.
In spite of another year more excruciating lows than dizzying highs for Raiders fans, they have hope for the future in the form of the 24-year-old New Zealand international.
"They doubled up on him today and still created havoc," Canberra coach Ricky Stuart said of Tapine.
"He's a wonderful talent and he's a really big part of our team for the future.
"Blokes like Taps and four or five other boys, that's what we've got to build our future around."

Despite their best efforts, the Tigers were unable to slow down Tapine as he at times ran riot on the right side of the Canberra attack.
The personal stat line makes for impressive read: two tries, 155 metres from 15 runs, three line breaks, 10 tackle breaks, three offloads and 29 tackles.
However, Tapine said none of it matters when Canberra finished two points shy of the Wests Tigers on the scoreboard.
"No point of feeling good about it when it comes in a loss. Part of our job is to win, it's what we get paid to do," Tapine said.
"So we'll get back to the drawing board this week because we've got a couple of tough games coming up.
"We've got a couple of boys leaving and I've played with them for a couple of years, so we went to send them off in the right way and the fans they deserve it for supporting us."
The Raiders were forced to reshuffle their side with the late withdrawal of Aidan Sezer with the same hamstring strain that left him at times hobbled last week.
Tapine said the different line-up which saw players again out forced out of position did not have a large impact on the side.
"I thought we were alright at some points, there were some parts of the game when we didn't have the ball which was tough," he said.
"But when we did I thought our halves went well, I thought our direction was good, they were just better than us [on Sunday]."
