I'm fitting my brake caliper and just wanted to double check with the collective wisdom of the group. I'm using a Chinese hydraulic brake caliper, and it has a handbrake option bolted on. I popped it off, and it looks like it just pushes on an extension of the floating plate, so I think I'm OK if I take leave off (had visions of hydraulic fluid spraying, but it looks purely mechanical). I need to remove the manual brake bit to help mount the brake where I want it. Has anybody done this before?
