Neighborhood Spot Sala & Betty’s New Menu

Published by Monique on

Sala and Betty is a household name in the North Loop neighborhood. They’ve been dishing out wholesome, homemade dishes for the past several years. Sala and Betty source almost everything from over 25 local purveyors!

We started with some amazing new appetizers – roasted cauliflower with cilantro mint and curried lemon garlic yogurt. It reminded me of a delicious Indian dish my mom would make when I was a child. We also tried their salmon ceviche with jalapeños, red onion, tomatoes, lime and tortilla chips. And of course… their amazing Belgian frites with roasted tomato aioli.

Joel ordered the The Martinez Burger which is loaded with a thick 44 Farms beef patty, cheddar, charred jalapeño aioli, grilled jalapeños, avocado, bacon, lettuce and tomato with a hefty portion of fries. Soooo yummy!

I ordered from the new dinner special menu where you choose a protein, two sides and dipping sauce. I kept things light with the lemon roasted chicken, summer veggies, beet salad and avocado aioli. It was the perfect summer dinner!

They also feature seasonal desserts like this perfectly made creme brûlée with fresh strawberries on top. We were so stuffed but licked this plate clean.
