Austbrokers Canberra Raiders Cup Round 14

The Yass Magpies and Queanbeyan Blues will be fighting to keep their seasons alive this weekend as Round 14 of the Austbrokers Canberra Raiders Cup takes place this Saturday.

Queanbeyan Kangaroos vs Yass Magpies- 3pm, Saturday 14 July- Seears Workwear Oval / Live Stream

After two consecutive losses, the Yass Magpies will be looking to bounce back this week by upsetting the Queanbeyan Kangaroos and fighting their way back into the top four.

The sixth-placed Magpies slipped out of a finals spot last week after being thrashed by competition leaders, the Tuggeranong Bushrangers. With just four points separating second and sixth there is still plenty of time for Yass to climb up the ladder.

The Kangaroos meanwhile are on a four-game unbeaten run that sees them sit in third place. With first playing second this week, a Queanbeyan win could see them jump into that all important second place.

Belconnen United Sharks vs Gungahlin Bulls- 3pm, Saturday 14 July- O'Connor

This clash provides an opportunity for one of these two teams to put a bit of distance between them and last place.

Both sides sit equal bottom on five competition points and with neither side wanting to finish the season in last their will be no shortage of motivation.

Gungahlin ran out winners when these sides last met in round five but both teams have shown good form in recent weeks as they both recorded draws against the defending premiers, the Queanbeyan Blues.

Woden Valley Rams vs Queanbeyan Blues- 3pm, Saturday 14 July- Philip District

The Woden Valley Rams will be looking to stretch their undefeated run out to eight games this week as they look to shore up a top four spot.

Last week's big win over the West Belconnen Warriors was the latest in a number of fantastic performance and the Rams have proven themselves to be one of the form sides of the competition.

The Blues, on the other hand, are winless in their last five, including two draws in their last two games. The Queanbeyan outfit will be desperate for a win to keep their title defence alive.

West Belconnen Warriors vs Tuggeranong Bushrangers- 3pm, Saturday 14 July- Raiders Belconnen

This week we're treated to a top of the table clash.

The Tuggeranong Bushrangers are the form side of the two, having won seven of their last eight games, and could move at least three competition points clear at the top of the ladder with a win.

The West Belconnen Warriors made such a good start to the year but have struggled recently and could slip down to third with a loss. However, the Warriors did win the previous game between the two sides.

With first playing second, we should be in for a great game of football and this clash will go a long way to deciding who finishes as minor premiers.
