Independence police are investigating a fatal shooting Saturday afternoon at a gas station near 23rd Street and Ralston Avenue.Police said they were called about 2 p.m. to the FavTrip convenience store.Authorities said when officers arrived, they found a dead man in the parking lot.One person was taken into custody at the scene. Police said the victim and the suspect had been involved in some sort of disturbance at the gas station. The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Cahoone N. Littlejohn. The investigation continues.
