Famed Hollywood Studio Architect Accused Of Molesting Children

An architect who built sounds mixing studios for Hollywood's biggest directors has been arrested on charges of child molestation.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A well-known architect whose built Hollywood sound studios for luminaries such as George Lucas, Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola has been charged with molesting two young girls.

Jeffrey Cooper, 66, was arrested by the Los Angeles County sheriff's Special Victims Unit Monday on eight charges of child molestation, according to Los Angeles Times. The alleged crimes took place over the course of years. Cooper faces charges of oral copulation with a minor and penetration of a child under the age of 10.
According to court filings, the alleged rapes of one of the girls took place between November 2006 and November 2007, and the other girl was allegedly assaulted several times between January 2012 and July 2016.

Cooper's firm is Jeff Cooper Architects Inc. in the Hollywood Hills. According to the firm's website, he's responsible for 17 sound mixing studios that produced Academy Award nominees for sound, the Times reported. The firm also designed an Academy of Television Arts and Sciences theater

Cooper is in custody Wednesday morning in lieu of 8.95 million dollars bail.
