LENEXA, Kan. — More jobs are coming to Kansas and one of the richest men in the world came to celebrate the news.

Over the next five years geico is going to hire as many as 500 people to run a new service center in Lenexa, Kansas.
They are accepting applications now and plan to hire people quickly.

Warren Buffett was there to see the opening of the new office for his company.
He says with this new office so close to his home of Omaha, you can expect to see him around the Kansas City metro more often.

“Lenexa, is the closest place to Omaha, so this is my new home location,” Buffett said.  “So all I ask when i come, don’t lock the door, you’re my new Geico home!”

Geico is the second largest private passenger auto insurer in the country.
It is owned by Buffett’s company,  Berkshire Hathaway.
